Terms & Conditions of Service
-
If you wish to make a booking with Wayfarer Walking Holidays, please pay a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person. This allows us to secure your dates and book your accommodation. You will be sent an invoice for the balance, which is payable at least 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. If the booking is made 8 weeks or less before the holiday start date, the full cost of the holiday is due upon booking. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and retain the deposit.
-
We hope you don’t need to cancel your holiday, but we do understand that plans change. In the event that you need to cancel your holiday, please notify us in writing via email as soon as possible. In all cancellations the deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel with more than 8 weeks’ notice we will refund all monies paid less the non-refundable deposit and any non-refundable costs already incurred. Otherwise the cancellation fee schedule is:
29-56 days before departure: 50% of holiday total
15-28 days before departure: 75% of total
14 days or less before departure: 100% of total -
We understand that plans can change. If you need to change your holiday, please inform us immediately in writing. We will try our best to accommodate your requests but please note that this will not always be possible. Any changes made to your booking will incur a £25 administrative fee plus any additional costs imposed by accommodation and other service providers, of which we will inform you in writing.
You may transfer a place on your booking to another person as long as the holiday has been paid in full and we confirm with you in writing that this is possible.
-
You are responsible for your own safety while walking and understanding how any health conditions may affect your ability to walk prior to embarking on your holiday. It is essential that you have the proper equipment and clothing for walking, as well as a map and compass (whether or not supplied by us) and know how to use them.
We endeavour to give the most thoughtful possible advice to ensure your safety at all times. However, walking/hiking poses an inherent risk and it is your responsibility to ensure you have undertaken all necessary precautions to the effect of the safety of your person and property. You participate in your holiday at your own risk. Wayfarer Walking Holidays cannot accept liability for death, injury, or loss or damage to person or property during the course of the holiday. Your booking is a waiver of liability to this effect.
-
We recommend you take out personal insurance to cover cancellation, changes, death, injury, loss, damage, and liability to third parties for the duration of your holiday.
Force Majeure: We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage due to war or terrorism, weather, fire, flood, drought, airport closures, rescheduling of means of transport, or any other eventuality which may extend or delay the holiday.
-
We reserve the right to cancel any booking. If you breach any of the terms and conditions of your holiday we may cancel your holiday and you would be subject to the same cancellation fees as if you cancelled yourself.
In the unlikely event that Wayfarer Walking Holidays is unable to operate your holiday due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, industrial disputes, or other force majeure events, we will work with you to offer alternative dates, a credit towards a future booking, or a refund where appropriate and reasonably possible.
